The San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe
The Constitution of the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe sets forth the requirements for Tribal Membership in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, a federally recognized Indian Tribe. In order to become an enrolled Tribal Member, you must meet the requirements of the Tribal Constitution and follow the process for enrollment that is defined in the Tribe's Enrollment Ordinance (Law & Order Code, Title 3, Chapter 1). Applicants seeking membership in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe should review the requirements of the Tribal Constitution and Enrollment Ordinance to determine if an applicant would meet the requirements for enrollment in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe. Article II, Section 2 of the Enrollment Ordinance provides for the appointment of three (3) Tribal Members to an Enrollment Committee who reviews all applications for enrollment and provides recommendations to the Tribal Council regarding acceptance or rejection of the application. The current Enrollment Committee Members are serving a 2-year term.
