The San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe

TRIBAL ENROLLMENT

The Constitution of the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe sets forth the requirements for Tribal Membership in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe, a federally recognized Indian Tribe. In order to become an enrolled Tribal Member, you must meet the requirements of the Tribal Constitution and follow the process for enrollment that is defined in the Tribe's Enrollment Ordinance (Law & Order Code, Title 3, Chapter 1). Applicants seeking membership in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe should review the requirements of the Tribal Constitution and Enrollment Ordinance to determine if an applicant would meet the requirements for enrollment in the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe. FINANCE DEPARTMENT

Tribal Accountant 
The Tribal Accountant is a professional CPA firm that is contracted by the Tribe to carryout essential financial functions, including, but not limited to, receiving, managing and assisting in the organization of accounting records, ensuring that all transactions are processed in accordance with Tribal laws, policies and procedures, preparing and reconciling journal entries, preparing financial statements, and assisting the Tribe with the filing of required tax documents. 

Tribal Bookkeeper 
The Tribal Bookkeeper carries out daily accounting tasks under the direction of the TribalAdministration and Tribal Accountant. 

Procurement Officer 
The Procurement Officer is responsible for the oversight of the procurement and property functions of the Tribe in accordance with the Fiscal Management Code of the Tribe (Law & Order Code, Title 2, Chapter 4). 

Travel Coordinator 
The Travel Coordinator is responsible for assisting travelers on government business to arrange for travel and to submit and process payments for travel expenses in accordance with the Tribe’s Fiscal Management Handbook – Travel and Expense Policy (Part300).

Native American Preference
The Tribe exercises Tribal and Native American preference to qualified individuals in accordance with the Tribe’s Fiscal Management Code (Law & Order Code, Title 2, Chapter4).
