§ 301 General Eligibility

Beneficiaries of the Housing Assistance Program must be enrolled Tribal Members of the San Juan Southern Paiute Tribe.

§ 302 Specific Eligibility Criteria

A. Applicant must:

1. be 18 years of age or older;

2. be the recorded owner of the residence;

3. Complete the entire Home Assistance Program Application, including all necessary third-party verification documents and attachments;

4. Meet the eligibility requirements for the Housing Assistance Program as determined by the Tribal Council in accordance with the Housing Assistance Program Handbook, including any income eligibility requirements set forth by any federal or state funded housing programs, including but not limited to, the Bureau of Indian Affairs for the Bureau’s Housing Improvement Program or the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

B. Any individual who knowingly and willfully misappropriates funds, property or information for personal or other use, not in the interest of the Tribe shall be subject to the penalties or disciplinary actions as authorized by applicable law and policies.
